Your data, our handling of it

Who we are

The Detailing Ghost is an independent casino review site for New Zealand players, published from New Zealand. We don't run a casino, take deposits, or hold player funds. Reach us at hello@thedetailingghost.co.nz.

What we collect

We collect anonymised analytics: pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referrer, and time on page. We don't collect your name, address, payment details, or anything that identifies you personally. The only exception is if you email us, in which case we keep your message for as long as it takes to reply.

Cookies and tracking

We use first-party analytics cookies to count visits. Outbound links to casinos carry affiliate tracking parameters that the casino sets when you click through. Once you leave thedetailingghost.co.nz, that casino's privacy policy applies, not ours.

Affiliate relationships

If you click an outbound casino link and sign up, the operator may pay us a commission. That commission funds the editorial operation. It does not influence which casinos we rank or where they sit, see our independence statement on the About page.

Your rights under the NZ Privacy Act 2020

If you've emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time. Send a message to hello@thedetailingghost.co.nz with the subject "Delete my data" and we'll remove it within 14 days. We hold nothing on visitors who haven't contacted us.

External links

Casino brand pages, regulator websites, and gambling-support resources linked from this site are run by other people. We can't vouch for how they handle your data. Read their own policies before you submit personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and bump the "last updated" date at the top. We don't run a mailing list, so check back here for the current version.

Responsible gambling notice

This site reviews gambling products and is written for adults aged 18 and over. If your gambling is starting to worry you, call the NZ Gambling Helpline on 0800 654 655 or visit the Problem Gambling Foundation.
